Sascha was very kind caring and everything was explained to me clearly and in a very easy to understand manor with that added touch of humour. The team in place were also very professional and there to help me and explain and answer any queries or questions when ever needed.Right from the start I felt at ease, through booking my appointments, my treatment and the operations that followed.
Gemma my designated cancer nurse was a star.

I don't believe she can improve, she was marvellous! A lovely kind lady that is always smiling and listens to what you have to say. She doesn't rush you at all and I would highly recommend her to anybody.

From my initial appointment in the Breast Unit at Broomfield Hospital when I first met Sascha Dua, I cannot speak highly enough of her and the care I received.
It has been so comforting and reassuring to go through this experience with the continuity of always being looked after by one person. From the start I have felt completely at ease, because of Sascha's professional but calm and really quite lovely nature. I have been fortunate to have a lot of good friends and family around me and I wanted them all to meet her so they could see for themselves just how lovely she is.
From a surgical point of view, the small incision from the Sentinel Node Biopsy was really neat and healed quickly. With regard to my Masectomy and reconstructive surgery, although obviously a lot of credit goes to the excellent Plastics Team, Sacha also had a large part to play in carrying out the Masectomy which would have contributed greatly to the reconstructions success.
It has been an emotional journey for me, as I am sure it is for everyone, and there has been a couple of hiccups along the way. But through it all Sacha Dua and my Key Breast Nurse Keiva Noble have been there for me. Even coming to see me on the ward when I was admitted with a Breast Infection a week before my operation was scheduled. The level of care that I have received has gone far and beyond my expectations. I feel truly blessed that I got transferred to Broomfield from Colchester.
I am sure that Sascha is held in the highest regard by her colleagues, I know that as her patient I do.

Miss Sascha Dua is the most competent surgeon that I have engaged with firstly in 2012 and again in June 2016. Great attention to detail and always wants best outcomes for the patient. Miss Dua always has a smile and a fantastic bedside manner, always having your best interest at heart for her patients. Miss Dua carries out surgery so artful and very creative you would not even notice where the cuts are. I am eternally grateful to have been assigned to Miss Dua through each traumatic event and would like to convey my heartfelt thanks for being under such a 100% plus surgeon who I would encourage others to engage with Miss Dua in similar situations as mine. The character and strength of believing in long term outcomes is so encouraging beyond words. I am being reviewed again over the next five years and have the utmost faith in careful monitoring under such a brilliant surgeon.

I am so pleased with the results of my breast operation. it has made such a difference to my life and it has given me more confidence with my improved figure and for the indepth explanation in layman's language that described and informed me at every stage before and after the procedures and what to expect. this gave me the confidence toand made me totally relaxed to have the procedure and the aftercare and attention I received was I was advised.
Also we cannot think of what might have resulted, if I hadnt had a scan at our local mobile unit last year in the first placeand the speed in which it all proceeded.

Sascha Dua FRCS MD is a Consultant Breast Surgeon with specialist training in Oncoplastics, Breast reconstruction and a further higher specialism in cosmetics. Sascha went to medical school at Guys and St Thomas's (University of London) and undertook her higher surgical training at leading centres including 4 years at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she won a scholarship to undertake a doctorate as the first surgical scientist at the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre, reknowned for its work on the BRCA2 gene and cancer genetics. Sascha was awarded the prestigious Raven Prize in Academic surgery for research in 2007, and has been a specialised breast consultant since 2011 in Mid Essex Hospitals Trust.
